Pretty low interest from Romanians.

I wonder how will Romania perform without loads of islanders in their team... They brought some young Romanians in national team, likes of Popa, Iliuta and Simonescu. Plai vs Abzhandadze on 10 will be interesting.

Also surprised they didnt call Motoc from Agen... I hope Lelos will get a full scale Revenge for 2017 defeat. Hope the match will be really good... Gogichashvili has to face some serious props, Ursache or Gordas, also very interesting challenge!

Overall, match has potential to be really entertaining and im looking forward for a lot of tries this time not 8-7...

All of them in 23... Thats a loads of foreigners... :D But nothing compared to the number of Spain's Frenchmen. :D

Still think that its better for Romania to use youngster and gain some experience. They have right path now. Would be better to concentrate on U15-U18 kids and manage some normal U20 side.

It is curious why Tarus is not called in the squad. He is the only top tight head we had. Gogichashvili will destroy his opposition number. Also Fonovai is a big blow, it looks like one of his childrens got some visa/papers problem and they need to go in Moldova. Amateurish stuff from his club but it looks like being the norm these days in Romanian rugby.
I heard Matiashvili is out from your side also.Good to see Gigauri from CSM. I think he is a decent lock, i wonder why you didn't called him before.
LE. Motoc is recovering from an injury on his hand.

Yes matiashvili has small injury and wont be available against Romania but he is training with the team and will join them after.

Yea Gogichashvili is bloody Nariashvili 6 years ago. :D Guy managed to become 1st choice prop for Racing and he is 20 years old, He was playing for Locomotive Tbilisi and instantly become Racing's loosehead.

Romania needs more players like Motoc, he is good. All the best wishes to him. Always very interesting to watch Romania vs Georgia, i guess Oaks are very angry about disqualification, they did very well last year, just landing 50+ points to everyone. Keep it up guys, or REC is doomed without strong Oaks.

It won't be an easy REC for Oaks.

Spain and Russia will target them for sure to assert their position as 2nds in European Tier 2 rugby and I think also Germany might try to get a win home.

The poster shows Romanian rugby legacy +
commemorates | marks 300 years of ROM-GEO relations

ISLANDER has become a generic term lately meaning
*rugby mercenary* who feeds some 20 in his household back home

Injured MATIASHVILI will assist Luka Tchotchua
in commentating on 1TV vs Romania and Spain

:!: tch (ჭ) is a single consonant common for Caucasian languages + Armenian (ճ)

Lelos' Rugby is back at 1TV for 2019-2024 to the relief of general public

Hence, no need any more to torture oneself by rugbytv frame-by-frame

The player papers are ok but one of the children have some issues with his papers. I think they where forced out of country. In this time their club is making the papers for his wife and the children in question to return.

Americans have heard of it and claim it's awful. Let's hope national TV streamings aren't geoblocked.

For the next edition starting on February 9, FloRugby will broadcast the fifteen games of the competition live in North America, Latin America, Middle East and North Africa.

All games will air in domestic markets through agreements with Free-to-air and Sports TV (1TV Georgia, Telekom Romania, RTVE Spain, Pro7 Germany, RTBF.be Belgium and MatchTV Russia).

What geo blocks? That platform is pay per view, you can't access it without subscription.

Shouldn't be on dailymotion for Europe as well?

Pay per view is the most useless bullshit in broadcastsphere. you can pay for VPN instead and have access to everything. Some people need to get out of stone age. plus it fails in the most important aspect which is popularizing rugby.

I wrote on another tread about what PPV did to boxing, specifically the heavyweight division. It’s a flawed and outdated model in the streaming age, driven by short-sighted and greedy individuals.

Romania will come 3rd and will build over the next years and come 2nd again. What do they have to loose this year? Smart move to nominate young Romanian players and build for the RWC 2023, that will be the only goal for them now. If their clubs get their shit together, Romania will soon be where they were before they started to stupidly import players and will get a few boys into the french leagues. Would be good for the REC to have at least one proper match against the Romanians since there won't be a Geogian team in the 6N for the next 20 years.
