Cobras 30 - 14 Cafeteros, the last one was converted too! ;)

The Colombians missed Ceballos and Roger today, had good possession too, but couldn't score.

Yes, sorry.

Not a good match, but at least the Cobras had a couple of good moments and knew how to score points when inside the 22. André "Buda" Arruda is definitly Cobras' MVP and Matheus Claúdio played a very good game with him in the back row, whie Giudice is a pretty good name to consider in the next lineup for number 10.

How many points could score a full-sided Jaguares? More than 100 by match?

How many points could score the Springboks in División de Honor?

Jaguares was never meant to play full strength in SLAR. They are just preserving the name in case they can be revived elsewhere.

I don't think RugbyToledo asked the question wanting to create havoc, but I am gullible so cannot say for certain! In case he wants a genuine debate around it, 100 points would be a correct average I think, but also unnecessary to see for anybody.

A full Jaguares "XV" (a proper second string, not a third one like the one JaguaresXV has today playing in the SLAR), with some uprising additions, cruised in the Currie Cup First Division - second tier of South African Rugby, back in 2019.
https://www.sarugby.co.za/tournaments/c ... first-div/ They played away all games (so no home advantage)
The squad included names like Solveyra and Dominguez today playing at the MLR, Montagner and Bruni playing in ProD2, Facundo Cordero, Santiago and Mateo Carreras all in England, Domingo Miotti, Lucio Sordoni and Ignacio Calas in Australia... amongst others. None of them were at the time starters for Jaguares in Super Rugby!!!

They averaged 69 points in the first seven rounds, including huge wins like 78-12 against Border Bulldogs, 83-3 against SWD Eagles and 122-9 against Valke https://www.rugbypass.com/news/jaguares ... lke-122-9/ (allegedly, this game was thrown by the Valke as a big chunk of the usual starting line up travelled to Australia or elsewhere to play a friendly and finalise the Malaysian Valke details that would see them joining Global Rapid Rugby) and were eventually crowned Champions after winning the Semi final and Final. They were unable to play for promotion though, where we would have seen the real deal I suppose.

An IDEAL / realistic rugby scenario for Argentina would have been: Jaguares still featuring in a Super Rugby competition, Jaguares XV included in the Currie Cup (Premier Division) and 2 feeder teams competing in the SLAR, ie Ceibos + 1, call them whatever you want. Even then, given the way the calendar would be drawn, these 2 sides playing in South America would still stronger as they would inevitably include some odd Super Rugby and Currie Cup add-ons. But having them in 2 teams instead of 1 would level the scores. The pool of players would increase exponentially as at some point in the year while some of these players are out with a "B" or "C" franchise, others would be rested or focused on Argentina XV fixtures or Pumas tests / Rugby Championship.

This is however not less than 10 years away from happening now with the UAR not even being fully on board with the SLAR to add a second side to begin with, COVID taking a big toll on Argentina's Rugby Union budget - important sponsors that continue to leave, Personal, Renault, where the first major ones, rumour has it that both VISA and Nike will follow soon; a damaged relationship with South Africa, and SANZAAR pretty much blindfolded about the near future.

I also have the need to come back to Armchair's final comment. The UAR has adopted one of the most dangerous solutions, keep a "sort of" Jaguares squad in the SLAR (call it XV or plain Jags, it's the same in the end), waiting to see if they can place them elsewhere while they are being turned down everywhere. Not only this doesn't seem to be helping them or the region while they hammer everybody, but by the time they succeed in finding a new tournament for the "elite" players that are still contracted by UAR, a portion of the current squad would already be as gone as their A-list players did the last few months (don't forget Sclavi and Cancelliere have already signed overseas contracts, and more will follow, I imagine Chocobares, Gonzalez...)
Of course it's easy to say they should have gone "all in" to the SLAR with the remaining pool of players they had and build 2 or 3 teams, but I am convinced that 2021 was the year for that with no need of putting together home games, paying numerous flights / logistics for away fixtures and being this one a shortened season as they play every 4 days. More UAR sides would have levelled the scores, grown interest in their country, and provided a bigger pool of players for the future plans.

I know I'm dreaming again, but had to let myself go.

Springbooks B against a team of the best players of División de Honor + 7-10 french Top14 reinforcements, wouldn't get those scores.

Two matches changed the kickoff times comparing to the original fixtures. One of them only today. It is a nightmare to follow.

Olimpia 39 x 32 Cafeteros

Probably the best Cafeteros match so far

In 2019, the Jaguares defeated the Teros 61-0 (with 35-0 at halftime).

I don't know what to say about Cobras... We'd think they'd get better after some matches, but thing are actually getting worse... Low intensity, high indiscipline, poor form of some key players... Losing 38 x 3 against Selknam on half time.
