Tier 2/3 Transfers and Player Movements 2020-21
Re: Tier 2/3 Transfers and Player Movements 2019-20
Seb de Chaves from London Irish to Newcastle, Portuguese qualified. Not Portugal capped, yet.
Re: Tier 2/3 Transfers and Player Movements 2019-20
I saw that today and figured he could be a potential player for Portugal despite being South African born. Is he in conversations to play for Os Lobos given your "yet" at the end of the mention?
Re: Tier 2/3 Transfers and Player Movements 2019-20
i think hes been asked and contacted. I suspect he's declined/ignored.

Already from June 19th, but I overread it:

Germans in France:
Zani Dembele (Racing 92) and Erik Marks (La Rochelle) have finished their time in their youth academies (because of this they count as JIFF players)
Marks got a contract at Vannes in the ProD2, where he will meet Hilsenbeck. Tim Mentzel's contract at Vannes wasn't renewed though.
Dembele signed with Top14 club Castres.

Look at the world ranking in July. Teams ranked 1-10 have to play one team from 11-20 (they don't play in a regular competition) away the next year. 11-20 play 21-30 away and so on. Yes, it really is that simple.

Didn´t see that Tim Menzel was gonna be left without a contract... however judging only by the way he has played for Germany in his last games, I could understand him being a bit under the level expected for a ProD2 player. He was however a good impact player when coming on for Armstrong, gave pace to his side the last 25/30 minutes.

Eric Marks (GER) - left La Rochelle (Espoirs) to join Vannes (where fellow countryment Menzel and Hilsenbeck are set to stay)

Koen Bloemen (NL) has left Montpellier's espoirs to join Bourg-en-Bresse USBPA. His first game after a long injury (broken foot) was making his debut for the Netherlands against Lithuania at the end of this last season.
Wolf van Dijk (NL) has returned to DIOK after a spell in Ayr (Scotland).

20 year old Jesse de Vries moves from Aurillac (Fra) to Gala (Sco). He is capped at age-grade level for the Netherlands, but not for the senior team.

Re: Tier 2/3 Transfers and Player Movements 2019-20

And the other CSM players?
Re: Tier 2/3 Transfers and Player Movements 2019-20
I don´t think I´ve seen this in the forum yet;
Tyrese Johnson-Fisher, a young English-Jamaican eligible player who went viral on Youtube playing at Oakham School has dropped his American Football goal and turned back to Rugby.
He´s joining Bristol Bears (had a stint at Leicester Tigers a few year back) I imagine he´ll be mainly in the Academy or A squad given his age and lack of Rugby in his recent past.
https://www.world.rugby/tournament/1853/teams/3992 ----> as mentioned, he´s already played for Jamaica, so who knows, maybe in a few years time he´ll be brought to play in the MLR and his Jamaican connection will be a lot stronger.

Edinburgh have signed Eroni Sau (Perpignan) and Kalione Nasoko (Fiji 7's) for the next season, good to see scottish clubs give fijians a chance cause all our players that end up in france become crap...
Sefa Naivalu to Stade Francais, Chris Kuridrani just signed as a medical joker for Montpellier joining his older brother Nemani Nadolo
Chris is playing for Counties Manukau now and is in great form. This is the best I’ve seen him play. If he keeps this up he could be in super rugby next year.
I see an American club San Diego Legion have signed Fiji under 20 star Tira Patterson. This guy has potential to be a big star one day, he could be playing for a much better club. If he was to play a couple sevens tournaments for Fiji, there would be many clubs trying to sign him. I just hope the USA aren’t trying to poach him.

Well, the eligibility period is five years now, so that is not very likely going to happen.

Also USA Rugby do not control Major League Rugby clubs, so if the player is eyeing up a US cap its on him not the federation.

They mentioned during the Georgia vs Wales broadcast that Soso Matiashvili will join Rouen in Pro D2 after the RWC.

Completely missed this, but Jarrid Els (former? German international) is in Yorkshire Carnegie... Hasn´t played much as I haven´t seen his name on various team line-ups... So both Germans who were playing professionally in Rumania left.
