If the same discussion system will be applied also to the Championship for the remaining three games, I expect Spain v Portugal to be called off (both the teams have no more solid targets to pursue), Romania v Belgium to be played (the match is decisive for the relegation) and probably also Georgia v Russia to be played (the russians are still in risk of relegation, plus they started weeks ago their championship so they should be in a shape better than the georgians' one; and I doubt the Lelos will concede to Russia a no-play victory)

Lithuania v Poland ended in a lithuanian victory

I was checking https://www.rugbyeurope.eu/competitions ... eic-men-xv and I'm convinced, that I saw there 0:0 :) But now, yes, you're right :)

However, there is a date for the game Poland-Lithuania for the next season: 28.11. And Germany-Poland perhaps 31.10, but this one is not sure.

I forgot that there's no relegation this year. I thought Germany was in danger and instead they are all "save".
So these last three 2019/20 season games have not great importance

Poland v Ukraine on October 10 could be the first test match in the world after the global suspension
In Africa it's all frozen until the new year, in Asia the competitions will not restart before the beginning of october, in the Americas they they seem still far from the restart, so I suppose that just in Oceania they could fix a test match before that one in Poland

10/10 Poland v Ukraine
31/10 (?) Romania v Belgium
31/10 (?) Germany v Poland (new season)
14/11 (?) barrage REC/RET
28/11 Poland v Lithuania (new season)

? Georgia v Russia
? Spain v Portugal
? Germany v Lithuania
? Ukraine v Germany

Edit: I read now that New Zealand and Australia fixed for the same October 10 the first of their four autumn duels; so no, the polish game will be not the very first one after the general suspension. And maybe The Rugby Championship will start even earlier

On august 1 Budapest hosts a men's and women' 7s triangular involving Hungary, Poland and Slovakia

It seems they are national teams
The program includes also other three tri-nations tournament: men U18, men U16, women U18

Is this a new thing? An european 7s circuit with ten steps, between November and July
Andorra federation doesn't give too much details, but it seems a tournament for clubs and not for national teams

Could this be an improved https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Borders_Sevens_Circuit ? Never heard of both before tbh. My guess would be clubs/7s-teams.
How to grow rugby worldwide?
Look at the world ranking in July. Teams ranked 1-10 have to play one team from 11-20 (they don't play in a regular competition) away the next year. 11-20 play 21-30 away and so on. Yes, it really is that simple.

Yes, it's for clubs. Or, to say better, for whoever wants to make the inscription; clubs, invitational sides, national teams.
A pair of articles about the series appeared today on Rovigo's newspapers.
The first edition, 2019, evolved just along three stages and was won by the Fantastic 7, a french side; the second edition, this year, was supposed to involve six stages but probably it's been totally called off due to the pandemic.
Every tournament should have 16 men's teams and 8 women's teams

Would be great if they were able to leverage some kind of professional 7s club competition off this. I think it's something 7s has been missing.

Maybe I'm just pessimistic as usual but I hardly can see these 7s events having success. And even more hard to imagine them becoming professional.
I don't remember flourishing 7s tournaments in Europe. The Premiership 7s, maybe? The London and Paris stages of the World Series, maybe? The Octoberfest 7s, maybe? But I can't recall images of big crowds in a 7s event in Europe. Certainly not in the RE Grand Prix.
So I tend to imagine that also this Euro 7s club series will collect just few hundreds spectators per day.
Hong Kong 7s is a big success, but I think that the key of that success is 60% the feast atmosphere and 40% the rugby

The president of Ukraine's federation said in an interview to rugger.info, about the end of the RET 2019/20: "the draw 0-0 with Switzerland and the general victory of the Netherlands, decided on a table, make us not happy, but we understand that this is due to an exceptional situation. So far we agreed just with Poland for our match, that is fixed to October 10. We are talking with Germany about our game but so far there's not certainty about"

Well, it's a paraphrases of his words, he didn't say exactly this word by word but the meaning is that

I tried to find info, but I still do not know why Switzerland agreed to the draw. They had everything to play for. Does anybody know?

I don't know, maybe they just thought the sanitary safe was more important. Their website is silent since two months ago

Some new season fixtures (Conference 1 north)

October 17: Czech Rep. v Luxembourg
November 21: Hungary v Czech Rep.

On regards to REC 2020's Georgia v Russia and Espana v Portugal, is there not any clue about their possible dates?
As far as I've understood there are still not signs of activity reprise in Spain, Georgia and Portugal
Romania v Belgium should be on October 31 (or November 7)

I don't see how REC can take place before there is a vaccine. It's hard to think all six countries involved will have their national leagues running as normal before November or February, without travel restrictions (remember not all countries are Schengen members) and enough resources to extensively test all squads and staff.

Luxembourg has a new stadium, "Stade de Luxembourg", available both for football and rugby. It seems quite nice.
With 9400 seats it replaces the stadium "Josy Barthel", which has around one thousand seats less and is going to be destructed.
The first games in the new stadium should be hosted in march 2021. Apparently Luxembourg has an away game vs Czech Rep on October 17, for the RE Conference One 2021/22

Yes, this is reasonable, but there are even Conference 1 games already fixed in this autumn (according to the Czech federation) so it seems they are willing to try to go ahead. Belgium calendar has a date on the mid of November for the REC/RET barrage, this should mean that they think that the whole last round of the REC will be played before such moment

Is there a known agenda for todays' WR council?
I expect that they will put a lot of still points about the end-of-the-year calendar; or at least that in the subsequent days the regional federations will be able, on the basis of WR indications, to purpose a calendar. About women RWC qualifiers, REC, Euro 7s, Olympic repechage,"Eight Nations" and so on...
