You would have to think Georgia tire in the second half from 60 -80 minute mark being down to 14.

Great seeing fans in the stadium.

Don't know why this one is so chippy. Surprised to see Robinson go with two playmakers at 10 & 12 but then go with fairly conservative tactics (which I associate with him).

Georgia seem more comfortable with ball in hand than in the Haig era and I expect them to still win this.

Very much enjoying this game. With the pushing and shoving altercations it feels a bit like old school rugby. I wonder will the red card come back to haunt Georgia in the second half, it shouldn’t as they look the much better team but you never know.

I do wonder if he was forced to change tactics after the red? He may reveal something in the last quarter of the second half.

Enjoy the Forward altercations. we may have a cracker of 2nd half. finely balanced in my opinion

Enjoying what I am seeing from Georgia and credit to them playing so open when down a man (including benching a back row forward rather than one of the backs).

Well deserved from Georgia. Between them and Portugal has been pretty entertaining weekend.

Romania unlikely to get a better chance for victory in Georgia than this. I didn't see much to change my pessimism about the appointment of Robinson. Having to play three fly halves at the same time isn't going to help but they don't look like they are getting anything like the maximum out of the players.

Nice to have the REC actually being accessible on a platform like YouTube.

Georgia win 28-17. Heroic performance by Georgia playing man down all game long. Aprasidze had monster of a game.

A sort of Roberto Carlos dropgoal! Great trajectory if seen from behind the posts

Glad for Georgia, sorry for Romania for the missed bonus point

Indeed. Congrats to Georgia!
We had a really big opportunity to get a victory in Tblisi and not getting at least the defensive bonus point feels bad.

Why are you pessimistic about Robinson? I don't know much about him and although we aren't looking great, I think that the expectations from Romanian rugby team are a little bit to high only because of it's legacy. I always see in local communities people who talk about how we used to compete with France and Italy then how we used to be the first tier 2 team and now how we fight with Russia and Spain for 2nd place.
You can't have high expectations when you see how much the other REIC teams invest in this sport and what infrastructure they have. Our team was training last week on a stadium that looked like a stadium from 1950s and with a pitch that was basically a rice plantation.

Given the current conditions, I think we are decent. From what I've seen, Romania under Robinson's coaching, seems conservative, rarely taking risks. But on the other hand after a long period I see the team being decent in most of the areas of the game. I remember we had periods where we would be absolutely terrible at lineouts, or at scrum, at defense, discipline or at open play (like we couldn't have more than 3 consecutive successful passes).

That was the best game of a No9 for Georgia I have ever seen since Vaskas game against Tonga 2015. Props to Aprasidze!

I was not a fan of Robinson in the Scotland setup, to put it mildly. Maybe his work at club level was different and he was limited in who he could pick with Scotland. But I can't shake the pessimism that Romania will lose out relative to the other REC nations under his reign. Hope I am wrong as I like a few of the Romanian players.

Fair play Georgia, if there was one game in Tblisi that we could have won, it was this one yet you denied us that in 14 men!

Now positives for Romania:
Our maul was much more solid than Georgia's,
Our scrum was decent (although after red card),
Lineouts were fairly accurate,
Our defence was quite solid as only 1 try was scored from open play (by Akaki Tabutsadze).

Negatives for Romania:
Our attack is stiff and piss poor to be quite honest,
Our kicking was terrible,
Our tactics (going for 3 points instead of a try for instance) was disgusting and has not improved since the game with Russia.

Overall, we are like Portugal, we have good forwards (like they have good backs) yet our back are bad (like how their forwards are bad) but my point is, if Romania managed to lose by a respectable score away (albeit we had a red card), Romania still have work to do, but are in my opinion the favourites for second place.

Two tries were scored from open play, the beautiful try by gigashvili.
