That is a fast team and certainly the most exciting we've fielded for a while. Be interesting to see if we go with the general Jones "you're Tier 1 if you think you are, play like you are in your heads" game plan or if this is win at all costs. The former is what we're building toward, but it does play to Portugal's strengths.
Looking forward to see Kaliningrad show up.

What are the prospects of European Russian cities like Kaliningrad and Sochi getting Premier League Rugby teams?

There are no prospects in Sochi. In Kaliningrad 25 years ago there was a team, but now only amateur teams.
This is a region where people are interested in rugby. I hope that in next few years team will apear.

Kaliningrad has good prospects. There, even the governor is interested in rugby, he once talked about creating a club. There are children's schools in different cities of the region. In the 90s, one of the strongest teams in the USSR Zvezda from Tashkent moved to Kaliningrad. They existed for several years there. They won prizes in the Premier League. Grachev and Rachkov played there before France.

Russian and Asian rugby signed a memorandum

Nothing serious so far, but hope this is first step.

Rugby Europe is so complacent. It should be trying to bring the Middle East into European competitions, but instead it's losing Russia to Asia.

European rugby is primarily 6N. Rest is just a burden. Georgians will also run away. And faster than Russia.

Krasny Yar squad for the 2020 season.

MANY players left the club, including RWC players Bitiev, Garbuzov, Gresev, Golosnitsky and Artemyev and moldovan star Prepelita.
Only very few signings with georgians Aptsiauri, Sutidze and Svanidze and south african flyhalf Oliver Zono who joined the team for the very last games of the past season. Some juniors moved to the first team.

Why are Moldova not better? There seems to be quite a few Moldovans playing for Russian and Romanian clubs. I guess there mustn't be enough to make a full team of professionals.

Some Moldovan props are also playing pro in Western Europe : V. Cobilas (Bordeaux), D. Arhip (Cardiff Blues), Gajhion (Ospreys), Ojovan (Aurillac, Clermont from the next season), Leon (Rouen)

But for some reasons, the team that destroyed any forwards pack in ENC 2d division and finished ranked second just behind Germany in 2013 (including a win against them) is now playing in REC 4th division and loss against Finland this season

Strela has one of the biggest budgets in the tournament. There are no exact numbers. But that's exactly a few million dollars. I think 4-6.
