And although I obviously will never know the realities of Russia as well as you, I've spent quite some time in your country and I hope to keep going потому что я учусь русский язык и хочу говорить с русскиe люди.
Then go to the most popular Russian rugby resources. You can chat with Russian rugby fans there. But keep in mind that we have complete freedom of speech. They can troll and even insult. Especially at the guestbook of Krasny Yar.

But do not envy you if you are learning Russian.
I think this is a rather complicated language.
Is it true there is no letter 'J' in Russian?
Correct, there is not. You need to use a combination of 2 letters. As well as you dont have a letter Й (like a french -ill, travaille) or Ы (have no examples, its rather finnish or estonian languages)

Is that like 'dz'? I'm trying to work out how something like the name 'John' is written/pronounced.

Another owner. Something like transformation of Empire into a Locomotive in Penza.

I think Ж is more like what you might write out as in the latin alphabet as Zh. So sort of like a combination of J, Z and Sh. The other letter is the Russian character for D so Дж to represent J is trying to approximate a sound by combining two others, just like I've just done for Ж by combining Z and H!
Remember that Russian has its own alphabet so they have actual letters (signs) for each sound. Western languages all use the latin-derived A-Z so we have to indicate sounds that weren't in Latin like Ch, Sh or Ng by using pairs of other letters. From a phonemic point of view these sounds are all letters really.

Thanks. Are you able to tell from their names? It's good to know all types of Russians are enjoying rugby.

Re: Russian Rugby
In Russia can usually distinguish a persons nationality by surname.
At least a Russian, Caucasian, Tatar and SA.
Northern peoples usually have Russian names and surnames.
For example Ivan Ivanovich Ivanov may look like this.

Oooo Krasnoyarsk derby
Re: Russian Rugby
Without spectators. Idiots officials are playing pseudo-virus. The governor of Krasnoyarsk turned out to be an even bigger idiot than the Moscow Sobyanin pro-Gates' bastard reindeer herder.
