There is a great economic depression in the West. It's a shock for them. But Russia has been living in a similar situation for 30 years. Chaos of the 90s, then permanent sanctions. Therefore, our economy is developing under difficult conditions of environmental resistance. It works according to different laws. Taking rugby as an example. All over the world, budgets depend on ticket sales and TV rights, and in Russia, on sponsors of state companies. Abroad budgets fell by 30-50%, while in Russian rugby they are on the contrary growing.
Therefore, Russia looks like an island of stability amid chaos. Some in the West understand this.

Russia does not look like as Islalnd of stability. Its a fake and propaganda. You need to see on that among macro level (10-15 Y at least). Since 2014 sanctions era and drop of oil price the Russian economy is basically falling down. I dont want to discuss this on Rugby Forum, just take a look the basic economic indicators.
The budget of RRU is defenetly one of those)))

If they were Europeans they could have held European Championship instead of us.
Or are these nomads Europeans?

By the way Artemyev is one of leaders of pro Western YabLoKo party, which has not been in parliament for a long time ...
This is how totalitarianism we have in Russia. :D

Therefore I do not believe that under him Russia will play in Asia.

I don't remember if this has been posted here.

Here is a new stadium being built in Monino for VVA, with a capacity of 7600 :

Should open in 2020 or 2021 ?

And here is the new stand planned for Metallurg stadium, with a capacity of 2500 :

should be ready in 2022

Current stadium is looking ... a bit too old :D

And here is Slava stadium, with new colours :

That’s a really well shot ad. It’s things like this that rugby needs to produce global superstars. The sport has a problem where there are few players with international star power, ads like this help to fix that but we need more of them.

Its just that he knows English better than anyone in our team and was constantly shown at WC after matches of Russia ... 8-)

He proved to be quite popular during the tournament. Just need more players like him to become global stars. Correct me if I’m wrong but he was born in Russia and moved to Ireland when he was young was he not?
