Last countries without rugby
Re: Last countries without rugby
But sevens isn't independent. Which means in order to play sevens in an Olympic qualy Albania must be a Rugby Europe (Rugby Union) member anyway. There isn't an alternative for that.

Exactly, we are all prepared for this we know the rules and legislation very well . Dont forget that any olimpic team and sport representative goes through the Olipic Comity of eac country , and yes you need to be part of RU , wich no one intend to do that. Only with state politics things might change if the state decides to inves in 7s as a olimpic sport, people in charge here might "think" to fullfill the state request . But this is not.the case

Suspended? We haven't seen a word, right? So, 127 members.
This is a mystery to me, too. In this article from 2019 they say the union was suspended: "Problème, si cette dernière a bien localement la délégation de service public, elle n’est toujours pas reconnue par les instances océaniennes et internationales qui ont pour l’instant suspendu la fédération tahitienne mais ne l’ont pas révoquée bien qu’elle soit désormais inexistante." But they're still listed in the rankings and WR still counted them in November.

Finaly most mistakes were corrected (Solomon Islands, Israel, Guatemala) https://www.world.rugby/organisation/membership
Tahiti is still out, so this probably means a real suspension.
In the other hand Azerbaijan is still in World Rugby's list (and incorrectly listed as Asia), but not in Rugby Europe's members list (confusing): https://www.rugbyeurope.eu/rugby-europe-members/ I checked Asia Rugby's list, to see if a surprising move happened, and it doesn't look like https://www.asiarugby.com/unions/
