We'll stay 14 days in Russia. Kaliningrad, Moscow and Samara are must-visit places for us because Brazil will play there (Samara, if we were group champions). How much time should we spend in these cities? Is Samara a great destination?
We also want visit more two cities. I think St Petersburg is unmissable, am I right? What about Sochi or Krasnodar?

16 jun - Arrive in Europe (Madrid)
22 jun - Brazil vs Costa Rica (Kaliningrad)
27 jun - Brazil vs Servia (Moscow)
02 jul - Brazil vs ___ (Samara) - if we qualify to round of 16 as pool's winners
06 jul - Return to Brazil (via Madrid)
The idea is stay in Russia from 21 jun to 4 july, at least.
Thank you so much, bro

So you need a "fan passport"!
Having a passport you will not need a visa.

Follow the instructions! The choice of language is the upper right corner.

Kaliningrad is the former Prussian Kenigsberg.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/K%C3%B6nigsberg
It looks like a German city a little spoiled by late Soviet architectur.
It is better to start your trip around Russia from this city.
It is closest to Europe ...

In Russia there are no areas of cities that are dangeros for tourists.
The problem is that very few people understand English.
It is better to be in possession of the Anglo-Russian phrasebook ...

I know lots of people hate Shokoladnitsa, but for us foreigners it's pretty useful since they are everywhere in Moscow and they've got menus in English. Ukrainian chain restaurant Taras Bulba also has menus in many languages.

I imagine it's hard to call a taxi if you can't speak Russian, but it's much cheaper from my own experience.

Another advice. Don't yield in underground stations. Just follow the people. If you stop, even if you think you're being polite, you may get pushed and insulted... It's happened to me

Re: Guide to the World Cup in Russia
To the World Cup everywhere there will be inscriptions in English, there will be volunters speaking English.
I think problems should not arise if you are in city center.
The police also learn English))
But i do not advise you to go down to the Moscow metro alone!
There you can get lost even if you know Russian!

About cities ...
If you want to see the sights then this is St. Petersburg and Moscow.
If you want nature and the sea then this is Sochi.
Samara is a city on the Volga river.

In this city too many interesting things.
Here in Russian.

Wow, brilliant metro map with smart solutions like the two circular connection lines. Wish we had that in Munich. But apart from bringing up the issue for 40 years nothing has happened.
How to grow rugby worldwide?
Look at the world ranking in July. Teams ranked 1-10 have to play one team from 11-20 (they don't play in a regular competition) away the next year. 11-20 play 21-30 away and so on. Yes, it really is that simple.

If I'm not mistaken the second circular line isn't a purpose built one, but one using old cargo ones. But yes, they've got a very impressive Metro system and not only because of the beauty of central stations.

Yes, second ring is ground-based.
You can for 1$ a ride around Moscow but there is nothing interesting there.

I'll be going for the group stage. Might pay a visit to the building works in Monino if I can be bothered to travel that far.

I think its much easier for you to visit the stadium "Slava"!
You go by metro along a small ring, the northern intersection with a gray branch, station Novoslobodskaya.
You rise to the top on the escalator. You come out and turn left and again to the left around the corner. You walk along the street Seleznevskaya 200 meters. Turn left between the white and red buildings.

This is stadium "Slava"! Welcome!

Hehehe, it's the walk I did in Christmas. Ekaterinsky Park deserves a look just around the corner, as well as Olimpiski Complex.

If you want in Monino then it is better to go by train from the Yaroslavl station (Yaroslavsky vokzal).
Train Moscow - Monino. journey time is 1 hour - 1 hour 20 minutes.
https://rasp.yandex.ru/search/suburban/ ... romId=c213
Then 15 minutes walk from the station Monino.
I will publish a calendar of Championship games and you will be able to choose where to go.
