Political Thread
An open information war is being waged against us. Our opposition is funded from abroad. Russian segment of Facebook, Twitter, YouTube introduced severe censorship.
In Russia opportunity was given to foreign states to wage an information war against us in Russian.

Berlin authorities placed children with pedophiles for 30 years
The 'Kentler Project' in West Berlin routinely placed homeless children with pedophile men, assuming they'd make ideal foster parents. A study has found the practice went on for decades.

This is most stupid Western propaganda in Russian. German Deutsche Welle and the US Department of States US account in Russian.

Here black actor living in Odessa (Ukraine) and Tiraspol (Transnistria) complains about racism in Russia.
He has never been there!
Racism is that blacks are not given role of whites.
Yes, in Russian cinema Black cannot play role of white!
How can black play Russian tsar for example? It will comedy comedy!
In Russian cinema black plays role of black, white plays role of white!
This is not racism, this is reality!

But Tiraspol and Odessa are Russian cities. Founded by Russians after the Russian-Turkish Wars. They are temporarily after 1991 are not part of Russia. As Crimea was from 1991 to 2014.

Re: Political Thread
English Premier League (soccer) have Black Lives Matter replacing players' names on shirts and are all joining the kneeling cult. Response from football fans is majority opposed. Political statements have never before been permitted on football shirts. Not even poppy honouring the war dead. I will be boycotting Sky and Premier League as will many others.
BBL also strongly supporting BLM, but this is expected as they are largely a black sport that looks to America. Anyway they are irrelevant and poor in UK sport and this will help to keep them irrelevant.
Rugby has had the sense to largely avoid getting involved, as have cricket and netball so I will continue to support those sports.
My local semi-pro ice hockey team did black out Tuesday, which makes me think lowly of them, but my daughter's dance school did the same, just to conform and not fall our with some feisty woman they know. I know for a fact they do not support BLM but that is not a battle they want to fight.

Why would you actually want to kneel before the Queen? Just for folklore reasons?
How to grow rugby worldwide?
Look at the world ranking in July. Teams ranked 1-10 have to play one team from 11-20 (they don't play in a regular competition) away the next year. 11-20 play 21-30 away and so on. Yes, it really is that simple.

If it was appropriate in the situation I would kneel. There are certain circumstances in which that is the correct etiquette. The Prime Minister kneels to the Queen. If I was being knighted I would be on one knee with head bowed. These are situations in which I would kneel before the Queen. They are not going to happen to me but in principle I would.

Western Ukraine. They are on their knees when another dead punisher from Donbass is being taken to cemetery.
This tradition kneels before deceased Polish land owner.

There is nothing like that in Russia. In Russia they take off their hats and bow.

Take off hats and bow head is traditional in Great Britain too, but we don't wear hats anymore

Re: Political Thread
This is a quote about the peasants of Western Belarusia writer Alexander Kuprin "Olesya" 1898. translated google
"... when they saw me, they still took off their hats from a distance, and when they approached me they gloomily said:" Guy bug ", which should have meant:" Help God "... When I tried to talk to them, they looked at they surprised me, they refused to understand the simplest questions and kept trying to kiss my hands - an old custom left over from Polish serfdom ...
... I was sick of this kissing of hands (while others fell so straight at my feet and tried my best to kiss my boots). It was not the movement of a grateful heart that affected it, but simply a disgusting habit instilled in centuries of slavery and violence. "

So traditions. Fair enough then.

In Russia a lot of everything from Europe. From clothes to habits.
In early 19 century, most of Russian nobility spoke French better than in Russian.
And some did not know the Russian language at all))

Great embassy of Peter I to Europe 1697-1698.
Traditional clothes.

Peter dressed everyone in European clothes, introduced tobacco smoking and ordered beards to be shaved off)

Re: Political Thread
Warriors! Here came the hour that will decide the fate of the Fatherland. And so you should not think that you are fighting for Peter, but for the state handed to Peter, for your kind, for the fatherland, for our Orthodox faith and church. Nor should you be embarrassed by the glory of the enemy, as if invincible, to which you yourself have repeatedly proved your lies by your victories over him. Have the truth in the battle before your eyes and God, who will fight over you. And about Peter, know that his life is not dear to him, if only Russia would live in bliss and glory, for your well-being
