Just four teams will take part to the Ukrainian 7s championship: a Odessa select, a Kiev select, Olymp Kharkov and Lionesses Lviv.
When I saw the title of the article I thought it was XV but it's just 7s: four sevens teams in a nation with a population almost as big as the Spanish one means that women rugby is almost at level zero over there. Maybe the sanitary situation influenced this year's participation

As far as I know only the South American 7s and the European 7s are still not-abandoned, even if without dates and venues

US Women have been back in camp since the end of last month, did a two week fitness and health screening with COVID-19 tests administered. Unlike say New Zealand or Australia there is no club footy to release players to right now.

Yes. Sudamerica Rugby was planning a 3-tournaments series, but the pandemics made it impossible. The idea now is to have just one tournament, in Uruguay (using the Valentin Martinez for it).

Expecting a long break until Sevens World Series are back and with most of our key players transitioning to XVs in order to try to qualify for RWC, Spain is holding a 7s training camp with 21 uncapped players...

The Valentin Martinez/South American Championship will be held from 26 to 29 november.
If they managed to complete it, it would be the only continental 7s championship played this year
I don't know if there will also the men's side of the South American Championship; usually the Valentin Martinez hosts only the women event

No previous international games I can trace so they'll be the 142nd international sevens team.

Leading Women's Rugby Olympic Preparation Work with the Spirit of Resisting U.S. aiding Korea
2020-10-22 China Sports News

The Great War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea is a just war against aggression waged by the Chinese people after their victory in the Civil Revolutionary War to resist US aggression and aid Korea, defend their homeland, and maintain peace in the East and the world. The victory of the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea was achieved under the conditions of great disparity between the enemy and ourselves. In this arduous war, the great spirit of resistance to US aggression and aggression was forged, that is: the interests of the motherland and the people are above all else, for the dignity of the motherland and the nation The spirit of reckless patriotism; the spirit of revolutionary heroism that is brave and tenacious, and sacrifices life and death; the spirit of revolutionary optimism that is not afraid of hardships and always maintains high morale; revolutionary loyalty to fulfill the mission entrusted by the motherland and the people and generously contribute everything to oneself spirit.
At present, the Chinese women's rugby team is making every effort to prepare for the Tokyo Olympics. In the process, it also faces many challenges. From the perspective of the project itself, rugby is a sport with the most fierce confrontation, comprehensive requirements for athletes, and extremely high requirements for team spirit in ball events. Whenever there is a loophole in the defense, the entire defense line will fall apart. Its exercise intensity, attack power, and physical confrontation are fierce, and it is called "miniature warfare". From the perspective of the development of rugby in my country, there is a big gap compared with opponents such as New Zealand, Australia and the United States. Our cognition, development philosophy, management methods, scientific and technological methods, training methods and measures of rugby are all in a backward state.
The Chinese women's rugby team qualified for the Tokyo Olympic Games, achieving a historic breakthrough. There are a few strokes in life, never be a hurried "passer"! We put forward the general requirements of Olympic preparations of "the Olympics must have new goals, physical fitness must be raised to a new level, technological assistance must be new measures, spiritual forging must be new heights, teams must be strengthened, and anti-doping must be more stringent." . To achieve the goal of achieving good results in the Olympics, we must draw nourishment from the great spirit of resisting U.S. aggression and aid to Korea, and use the spirit of resisting U.S. aggression and aid to Korea to inspire fighting spirit and lead our work.
One, the patriotic feeling of the supremacy of the motherland. The spirit of patriotism in which the interests of the motherland and the people are above all else is a clear banner leading the victory of the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea, and patriotism is a powerful spiritual force for the Chinese People's Volunteers to overcome all difficulties and defeat all enemies. Chairman Mao Zedong sent his eldest son Mao Anying to the front lines. Young people enthusiastically joined the army. Mothers sent their sons, wives to their husbands, and brothers rushed to enlist in the army. The great patriotic mass movement of "Resisting U.S. Aid Korea and Defending the Country" was set off across the country...

(and goes on and on for other ten or twelve paragraphs...)
