The Euro championship and Euro U19 have been postponed to next year/s

The Euro champ'ship B, C, D and U19 will be played in 2021, while the Euro championship A will return just in 2022 because next year there's the World Cup.
In 2022 the Euro A will be widened to eight teams: the current six ones (Fra, Wal, Ire, Sco, Ita, Spa) plus England and the winner of the Euro B

Looks like Toronto Wolfpack is in a bit of trouble. Despite them having a billionaire owner to had to resort to asking other clubs for a loan. Would be nice to see them go bust.

Newcastle Thunder also have Super League ambitions, this seems to be longer term goal. Newcastle Thunder is owned by Newcastle Falcons. It's interesting that the owner feels he can grow both codes of rugby rather than seeing them as rival codes.

I have a couple of questions for consideration.

Who will be the team to replace Toronto Wolfpack in the Super League?

Should Catalan Dragons now leave Super League and France set up their own professional league league? This is similar to the future of Italian rugby question. Could France sustain its own professional league? And then meet its old English rivals in a European competition.

Answer for France : no. RL is ultra minor. If you look to our first league, the clubs are mostly villages around Perpignan. Nobody cares about RL outside of there, and a bit around Avignon. And Toulouse is working correctly, even if that will remain minor considering all the sports there are there.

And for me, nobody in France want to see dragons living superleague for a minor pro league here.

Sorry, no. Here we don't sell places, you need to earn it. You can start in department league in Pas de Calais I guess

Newcastle Thunder (the rugby league department of Newcastle Eagles) has been accepted into the Rugby League Championship next season (the tier below Super League). This is a good decision in my opinion. Rugby league has been growing in Newcastle for a few years now. It is a good place to expand.

I hope the new Super League club will be York City Knights. They have a new stadium that is almost complete. If they are promoted, the Knights will be York's number one sports team. York is outside of the traditional rugby league heartland of West Yorkshire, so this will be another expansion. London and Toulouse are also good options for expansion but I think York would be a better option because it would turn the city into a rugby league city. You're never going to do that to London or Toulouse.

The twelfth Superleague team for next season has been announced. It will be Leigh Centurions. Not a bad choice. They have a really nice stadium. They're a good club. They probably deserve it. Leigh is right in the middle between Wigan, St Helens, Warrington and Salford's stadium. They will get plenty of away supporters when fans are allowed in. It will keep travel costs down and maximize attendances. It strengthens rugby league in one of the rugby league heartlands. It was probably the most sensible choice in uncertain times.

We are worried about the risk of postponement for the Women RWC but the League World Cup (men & women & wheelchair) starts just a month after and in a currently more at risk location: mid september start for the WRWC in New Zealand, end of october start for the RLWC in England. I don't follow rugby league, I wonder if there are plans to postpone the Cup or if they are certain to go ahead. A tournament with reduced crowd could be affordable for a Women RWC but probably a big blow for the much more ambitious RLWC
