Nope, he was supposed to join Bordeaux THIS season to cover another injury, but, for some reasons Bordeaux chosed Ghiraldini instead

So news out that Sutiashvili is retiring from international rugby, has been a good servant over the years!
But got me thinking who else might retire soon, surely the new coach won't pick Khmaladze, Begadze, Malaghuradze, Todua, Katcharava so maybe there time is up....

Some beautiful images from Tbilisi, from twitter: the caption should say it's the first snow of this winter (no more winter) in the Georgian capitol city

I cant believe Bayonne have got rid of Ioane Iashigashvili from there contracted players,he is like the brightest prospect in loose forwards coming through the international game. Surely will get snapped up by a big club, for even espoirs team

So Stade Aurillac have let young locks Davit Gvidiani and Luka Macharashvili and young back row Ioseb Gusharashvili go from the espoirs.
Very surprised by Ioseb, he was one of the best at the last u20 WC

Again from the ukrainian site rugger.info

Zurab Amonashvili: "We don't pay guys, so they need to earn extra money and can't train"

Due to financial problems caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, most Georgian clubs are unable to resume training.
One of them - "Vephwebi" from Patardzeuli, who was in second place in the First League before the suspension of the championship and fought for a return to Didi-10. Myrugby.ge talked to the head coach of the Kakhetian club Zurab Amonashvili.
"Wephwebi resumed training in June, but some of our players live in Tbilisi, and given the fact that we can't pay them, it was difficult for the boys to get to Patardzeuli and they stopped coming to the club. We have a minibus to transport players to training, but there is no money for gasoline. And later the local guys said that they found a job and training had to be canceled altogether. We understand them: they don't get paid at the club, but do they have to support their families? Here they earn extra money, who can. We are waiting for the situation to be clarified and we will make a decision taking into account the reality”, Amonashvili said.

At this stage, it is unknown when the Georgian Championship will resume and whether it will resume at all.

At this point, its probably the least important thing since it seems that GRU president has resigned from his position. The whole situation at GRU is messy. Svanidze should have just held the GRU election in the date that it was supposed to be held, and not postpone it because other candidates asking him to. I think that the former GRU president Gia Nizharadze should consider running again.
